October 17, 1783. Monsieur Stephen Regne, a French gentleman, lately from the West-Indies, died this morning at seven o'clock. As he was one of the best, the most generous, and obliging men upon earth, his friends and countrymen are desired to pay him the last regards owing to virtue; and to attend his body to the grave at nine o'clock to-morrow morning, 18th instant. The gentlemen who will comply with this invitation, will be pleased to meet at Mons. de Marsan's, in Water Street, the third door above Race Street, by that time
