The Pennsylvania Magazine, established by Philadelphia printer Robert Aitken, was edited from February 1775 to May 1776 by Thomas Paine. Du Simitière provided a title page vignette, a map, and other drawings that were engraved. Aitken was, with Philadelphia carver and gilder James Reynolds, one of the appraisers of Du Simitière's estate.
