"On his back appears plainly the deep lines impressed by the joints of the Scales, its head Shaped Somewhat like the Snail of No. 46 a.b. of my catalogue of fossils [catalogue unlocated], but in the midst of it is a deep notch which is on one side the impression of a very Small pectinites, it comes from the mountains above Reading."
