Partridge's mine, near the mouth of Perkiomen Creek in present-day Oaks, Pa., is described in the article "Perkiomen Mines" in The Baltimore Reportory, of Papers on Literary and Other Topics, vol 1 (Baltimore, 1811): 321-324.

Silvain Godon (ca. 1774-1840) was a French mineralogist who settled in Philadelphia in 1809 and gave lectures at Peale's Museum until he had a mental breakdown in 1810.
