Notes:

There are seven species of sea turtle, six of which live in the wider Caribbean region. They are distributed between two taxonomic Families: the Dermochelyidae with one living species, the leatherback turtle (Dermochelys coriacea), pictured here, and the Cheloniidae, with five species.
