Notes:
Adam Seybert (1773-1825) represented Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives 1809-1815. After completing the medical course at the University of Pennsylvania in 1793 he studied in Europe and returned to Philadelphia, where he devoted himself to chemistry and mineralogy. He was elected as a member of the American Philosophical Society in 1797.
