"Only used the day of a feast, well put up in a form of a Peramid, the workmansip of those toothpicks are with a Knife of about 18 inches in length 1-1/2 wide & a 1/4" thick."

The donor John Garcia Verdugo is described as being "of Spain."

Notes:

"Palito," which is Spanish for little stick, is glossed in Filipino as matchstick or toothpick.

Juan Garcia Verdugo was a Spanish official in the Philippines.
