"I was induced to visit Peale's Museum, on Tuesday evening last, to witness the exhibition of some philosophical fire works, and was gratified beyond my highest expectations. All the varieties of colour and form which science and art have been able to give to the flame of hydrogen gas, were then shewn -- the figures of diamonds, stars, and revolving circles, followed each other, in rapid and splendid succession. These wonderful changes can be compared to nothing better than those of the magnificent Kaleidoscope." [Signed] K.
