"Geo[rg]e Humphreys master. on the 30th of September 1811. on her voyage from St. Ubes [Setúbal, Portugal], to New York; in a harricane off the Isle of Sable's [Sable Island, off the coast of Nova Scotia]. It is part of the Ships Foresail, split to pieces during the gale; which continued with the most horrid violence about 6 hours. The topmast without any sail on them, went over the side with part of the foremast & bowsprit. And the ship at the end of the gale was a complete wreck."
