François de Salignac de la Mothe-Fénelon (1651-1715), more commonly known as François Fénelon, was archbishop of Cambrai and the author of The Adventures of Telemachus.

Neither a portrait of Fénelon by Alexis Simon Belle (1674-1734) nor an engraving by Laurent Cars (1699-1771) after such a portrait has been identified.
