Stefano della Bella (1610-1664) executed a suite of six Varii capricci militari (Various Military Caprices), ca. 1641, one of which is pictured here. Du Simitière also recorded owning a single "estampe de de laBella: caprices militaires plus grande," although all six etchings in the set are the same size (about 3-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches) and cannot be described as very large.
