Notes:
John O’Donnell (c.1749–1805), an Irish shipmaster who made a fortune in the Far East trade, settled in Baltimore and in 1792 and 1793 represented the town in the Maryland house of delegates. He was captain of the ship Pallas, which had arrived in Baltimore in March 1785 with the first cargo of goods brought directly to that city from China.
