"Ornamented on the outside with a kind of frettwork made of lines drawn in various directions Some appear to have been much larger than others. NB these are the first of the Kind I have had in my collection they differ but little from those I have found in the West Indies . . . Mr George Noarth brought this from Sunbury In the county of Northumberland 128 miles distance from Philada where they were found in a gentleman's garden in that place which had in former times being a council house of meeting place of Indians."
