Pictured here is a 1562 silver sixpence from the reign of Elizabeth I (1558-1603).

The donor, Stacey Hepburn, was a Philadelphia and South Carolina merchant and ship owner active during the Revolution and in partnership with Robert Morris. See Clarence L.
