The first hammered issue (1660-61) of a silver shilling from the reign of Charles II (1660-85) depicts a crowned bust.
The donor, Stacey Hepburn, was a Philadelphia and South Carolina merchant and ship owner active during the Revolution and in partnership with Robert Morris. See Clarence L.
