"It is a native of Africa. The horns with Rings at their base and smooth at the points – Ruddy hair, white under the belly, and a dark stripe on each side extending the whole length of the body. It is called the barbary Antelope by Pennant, Gazelle in Buff: and Dorcas of Linnaeus."
