Valued at 1s in Du Simitière's estate inventory, Library Company of Philadelphia, p. 6

Du Simitière lent a copy of this work to Dr. Glassworth on 14 Mar 1783; to Restif de La Serve (second secretary to the French legation in Philadelphia) on 9 Apr 1783; and to John White on 7 Oct 1783. Du Simitière Memorandum Books, Library of Congress, fol. 73r

The donor, Robert Aitken (1734-1802), was a Philadelphia engraver, printer, and bookseller. His short-lived monthly, The Pennsylvania Magazine, for which Du Simitière provided a title page vignette, a map, and other drawings that were engraved, employed Thomas Paine as an editor.
