Charles Willson Peale here records receipt of the first volume of Ambroise-Marie-François-Joseph Palisot de Beauvois (1752-1820), Flore d'Oware et de Benin, 2 vols. (Paris, 1804-1807).
Palisot de Beauvois, a French naturalist, collaborated with Peale in composing the Museum catalogue in 1795-1796 before returning to France in 1798 and resuming his role in that nation's scientific circles. (Selected Papers, 2, part 1: 101n)
