Webster published seven essays on free trade and finance between 1779 and 1785; the third is the only one of which no copy is known; the text, however, was reprinted in Webster's Political essays on the nature and operation of money, public finances, and other subjects (Philadelphia, 1791), pp. 50-73 (where it is stated that the essay was "Published in Philadelphia, January 8th, 1780").
Du Simitière owned the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and seventh essays in this series.
