"At present the property of Marks John Biddle Esq., Daniel Graff Esqr. & Dr. James McFarland laying on the Waters of the Schuylkill near the Centre Turnpike road and the nearest to the part nearest to which is intended to be locked of any mines which have yet been worked."

Notes:

Stone coal is another term for anthracite coal.

Centre Turnpike (modern SR 60) runs nearly parallel to the Schuylkill River between Port Clinton and Reading, Pa.
