Notes:

Onalaska is an Aleutian island in present-day Alaska. The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Harvard University, acquired a number of canoe models in 1899 from the Boston Museum, some of which may have come from the Peale Museum. A representative example is pictured here.
