Notes:
This artifact likely came from the Luthor List Mound (also known as the "Burning Mound" or the "Signal Mound"), an archaeological site of the Adena culture near Circleville, Ohio. It is believed to contain the skeletons of many leading members of the society that built it.
The donor may have been John Finney McClenachan (1744-1825), who served in the Chester County (Pa.) militia during the Revolution and later moved to Kentucky.
