Notes:

These fossils probably came from one of the islands in the Ohio River at Louisville, Ky. Turbinolia is a genus of corals belonging to the family Turbinoliidae. Lamarck first classified it in 1816. The donor may have been John Finney McClenachan (1744-1825), who served in the Chester County (Pa.) militia during the Revolution and later moved to Kentucky.
