The donor was from Burlington, probably New Jersey.

Notes:

The coins probably came from Cueta, a Spanish autonomous city on the north coast of Africa opposite Gibraltar.

The donor was possibly a relative of John Smith, of Burlington, N. J., a donor of coins to Du Simitiere's Museum. See Joel J. Orosz, The Eagle That Is Forgotten (Wolfeboro, N.H., 1988), pp. 15-19.
