"This Day Mr. James Baxter has deposited in the Museum to be kept for him untill demanded . . . he will return in about 12 or 18 Months."

United States Gazette (Philadelphia), 7 Feb 1806 reads: "An elegant model of a French frigate, formed entirely of glass, even to the smallest ropes, and manned"; displayed "in the department with the Mammoth, &c."
