"On one side is seen the sun rising from Ignorance and superstition, the grasp of Friendship and cap of Liberty, on the other side is seen two native Indians rallying round the column of Liberty, surmounted by the globe, sword, and Olive Branch and the word Livertad the Spanish for Liberty. On the Cover is seen the Initials V.L.P. or Viva Las Patria, signifying May our Country Live, or Success to our Country."
