"Having her bust on one Side, round anna, D.G.Mag.Br.Fr.& hib. regina---reverse, the figure of Pallas, striking down with a thunderbolt a two-headed monster. legend, vicem gerit illa tonantis. exergue inaugurat. XXIII:ap. MDCCII. it is a coronational medal and is represented No. 4 in the first plate of the Medals of Queen Ann. folio."

The donor, Thomas Mifflin (1744-1800), was Quartermaster General of the Continental Army at the time this drawing was made and later was seventh President of the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania (1788-1790) and first governor of Pennsylvania (1790-1799).
