Notes:

Philadelphia merchant George Harrison (1762–1845) was supercargo on the ship Alliance (formerly USS Alliance), owned by Robert Morris, on its trading voyage to China, June 1787 to Sep 1788. The ship took a new route through the Dutch East Indies and the Solomon Islands, where Harrison collected the materials he donated to the Museum. Harrison was later U.S. Navy agent in Philadelphia.
