"Resembling Somewhat the young one of Some Animal with its legs folded, but very irregular, it has an opening toward that part which resembles the head which appears to have been broke off, it is hollow, and can contain about a gill and a half of water, found with many other on the Shore of the Delaware at Billingsport, New Jersey."

Notes:

The donor was from "opposite Kensington, Jersey," that is, the area now known as Cooper Point, in Camden, N.J. opposite the Kensington section of Philadelphia.
